General
What’s the difference between Summer grade and Winter grade fuel?

For Diesel, during winter periods, the fuel has specially blended additives as well as other technical changes to the base diesel to keep the diesel flowing even when it’s cold.

For Gasoline, the winter-blend gasoline involves the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) of the fuel. During winter this needs to be more volatile so that on a cold morning your engine starts. In the summer, too much vapour would lead to vapour locking where bubbles form in the fuel distribution system and would cause fuel starvation of the engine.
